Ribchester Roman Museum is in demand as an educational resource. It has one of the most educational and interesting Roman displays in the northwest and a collection of Roman artefacts unrivalled in Lancashire.

The Museum is a low risk visitor attraction located in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Ribble Valley. It is a safe and idyllic venue for school visits.

The Museum provides 2-hour educational sessions.

The format for a Keystage 2 group includes:
Introductory talk
Object handling
Dressing up in Roman armour
A visit to the remains of the fort and, of course, a look around the Museum.

Also available is the Museum’s risk assessment that advises group leaders of potential hazards and appropriate action.

Prior booking is essential. Please contact the curator at the Museum to arrange a place.
